Colorado Rapids MatchDay: The Burgundy Starting XI

The Rapids and Impact are just about an hour from kick-off.

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids and Montreal Impact are about an hour from kickoff in Montreal, Quebec and for our Burgundy Boys they have a chance to do something that has not been done since 2003:

Win four games in a row.

That's right, it's been that long for the Rapids to win more than three in a row.  There have been a number of times where the Burgundy Boys have won three in a row (it happened twice last season) but getting that fourth in a row has been tough.  Why does it matter?

Maybe it doesn't, but it would represent another step for the Rapids and their growth as a team and a franchise.  Being a team that can rattle off four or five wins in a row as it shows the league that you mean business and it is great for the confidence of the team.  Will it happen?  We shall find out shortly..

Here is your Burgundy Starting XI:

Zac MacMath, Mekeil Williams, Axel Sjoberg, Bobby Burling, Marlon Hairston, Sam Cronin, Micheal Azira, Shkelzen Gashi, Jermaine Jones, Luis Solignac, Kevin Doyle
