The Colorado Rapids and Seattle Sounders get together for the first time in 2016 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and it features a surprising Rapids team and a Sounders team that appears to be rounding into form after a slow start. How will it play out?
The Goal for the Rapids: win, and keep the 100% record at home intact
What to Watch For
1) Stopping Seattle--Although the Sounders have had a rough start to the season, they are a team that features some pretty impressive offensive weapons--including the possibly injured Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris. The Rapids will need to continue their solid defensive work and while the back four is important for this, the defensive midfield pairing of Micheal Azira and Sam Cronin will need to be at their best.
2) Goals--the Rapids have averaged two goals a game in the last two matches, so does this mean their goal scoring woes are solved? I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I want to continue to see that goal growth and see what they can do against a quality Seattle team.
3) That Fort--we had an article today that talked about "Defending the Fort." To be honest, the Rapids have been shit in the last two years at Dick's Sporting Goods Park but in this season they are 3-0-0 at Richard's, and have a chance to bring that to a cool 4-0-0. This would be a massive achievement and something that could really help propel the Rapids this season.

The Rapids will most certainly line up in the 4-2-3-1 and I think it will look a little like this:
Zac MacMath, Marc Burch, Eric Miller, Bobby Burling, Mekeil Williams, Sam Cronin, Micheal Azira, Shkelzen Gashi, Jermaine Jones, Dominique Badji, Luis Solignac
