The Charlotte Independence are back in action tonight as they take on Richmond Kickers in an Eastern Conference Showdown. The Independence are coming off a 3-2 victory over Charleston Battery and will be looking to continue that good run against Richmond.
The Goal for Charlotte: win
What to Watch For
1) Defense, Defense, Defense--Charlotte is having a fair amount of problems keeping goals out and they currently have allowed the second most in the Eastern Conference of USL. This hasn't been a major problem as the Indepdnence have the second most goals scored in the East, but they something will have to give. They can't keep giving up 1.5 goals per game if they want to be contenders for a USL Championship.
2) Home Form--Charlotte is in a stretch where they have five games out of seven at home to start their season and they need to continue to press and get positive results. So far they have six points out of a possible nine and although Richmond is above them in the table, a win is something that could and should happen.
