The Colorado Rapids and Toronto FC met for the only time in 2016 on a beautiful Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night and for the Rapids it meant a hard fought 1-0 victory over Toronto FC.
The match really turned in the 13th minute. Benoit Cheyrou was sent off for a *questionable at best* card that could have been a yellow but was ultimately determined to be an offense that warranted a red card. Cards like this are always up for debate, but the bottom line is that it was a red and that is that.
That being said, the Rapids did what they needed to do and were able to string together a pretty important victory. We will have much more on this one, but for now, enjoy this win Rapids fans!
