Colorado Rapids vs Toronto FC: How to Watch, TV Information, Live Stream and More

Toronto makes it's only trip to Dick's Sporting Goods Park tonight.

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids and Toronto FC exchange pleasantries tonight in a match that is dripping with storylines and reunions and one that is important for both clubs.  The Rapids are coming off a 1-1 draw with D.C. United where the Rapids were only able to generate a single shot on goal.  Toronto FC lost their last game out dropping a 1-0 decision to Sporting Kansas City.  Both clubs will be looking to get back to winning ways and it should be a good match.

The Goal for the Rapids:  Win at Home

What to Watch For

1)  The Return: Former Rapids players Drew Moor and Clint Irwin will be making their return to Colorado as members of Toronto FC.  I am hopeful that the fans give them a very warm welcome but that we are able to grab a victory.

2)  Missing Doyle: Kevin Doyle will be out for the next seven matches and with his absence opens up an opportunity for Luis Solignac, Dominique Badji or Conor Doyle up front.  My guess is that Solignac starts up front in the 4-2-3-1 formation but I would not rule out the Rapids trying a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3.  If  they do that, I could see Badji and Solignac up front.

3)  A Must Win: It's way too early to say that this is a must win, but the Rapids have not looked particularly good so far in any of their matches.  Rather than a must win, I would call this a must play well.  They need to play the kind of soccer they claim to want to play:  attack minded and possession based.  After a game where they generated just one shot on goal, something has to change.

Predicted Starting XI

Well, the injury to Doyle certainly mucks up the starting lineup for this week (and probably the next six games) but that's why you have the depth right!

Here goes nothing:

Zac MacMath, Marc Burch, Axel Sjoberg, Jared Watts, Mekeil Williams, Sam Cronin, Micheal Azira, Shkelzen Gashi, Dillon Powers, Marco Pappa, Luis Solignac
