WOW! What a match. The Colorado Rapids beat the New York Red Bulls 2–1 in a snow-filled game, one that almost bordered on a blizzard. Not a match played in snow flurries as described in the New York Times.

This match had it all. Jermaine Jones saw his first action with Rapids after his suspension was complete; a snowstorm that kept the groundscrew busy all evening; and a late winner by Dominique Badji, with an assist by Jones.

Not a bad start for Jones in burgundy.

I would also like to give a shoutout to the Rapids grounds crew and staff at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to work to make the stadium ready for the crowd and the pitch ready for the players. Without them, this match is not played last night. Leave a message for them in the comments below.

In the ratings article on Tuesday, I will share the summary of the ratings so far. You will be able to see how each player was rated for each match plus their summary for the season.
