Game Recaps: Colorado Rapids 2:1 New York Red Bulls

Snow is cold. Just sayin'

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids and the New York Red Bulls met on an unbelievable night in Commerce City.   I could tell you that it was this most amazing night.  That the weather wasn't a big deal.  That the snow....wasn't an issue.

But it was.  And it was crazy.

The Colorado Rapids were led by Jermaine Jones and Dominique Badji as they secured their fourth win of the year and brought their record to 4-2-1 (13 points) and saw the Rapids climb to 3rd place in the Western Conference table.

The Rapids took the lead in the 21st minute on a Jones goal and it seemed like they were on their way, but the Rapids are gonna Rapids and they found themselves tied after the 60th minute.  This was fair as the Red Bulls had been pushing for an equalizer.

The Rapids were able to find the game winner in the 82nd minute from a Dominique Badji goal from a Jermaine Jones assist and it send the Rapids faithful into a frenzy.  On an absolutely brutal weather night the Rapids were able to find the strength to find a way to win.

This is not a trait that other Rapids teams had.

And it seems like this Rapids team might have.
