The Colorado Rapids and New York Red Bulls are about an hour from kick-off at a cold and snowy Dick's Sporting Goods Park and while the weather is less than ideal right now, the game is a great opportunity for the Rapids.
Why? The Rapids are currently 3-2-1 (10 points) and with the win have an excellent opportunity to continue their climb up the Western Conference table. The Burgundy Boys just finished up a two game road trip with a win and a loss, and while there is a tendency to look at each game on its own, I am choosing to look at it this way:
The Rapids went to Salt Lake City and Kansas City and picked up three points. If you believe in the soccer adage that you should win at home and tie on the road, the Rapids are doing OK. And with their 100% record at home, things are quite positive tonight.
Here is your Colorado Rapids Starting XI:
Zac MacMath, Marc Burch, Eric Miller, Bobby Burling, Mekeil Williams, Sam Cronin, Micheal Azira, Shkelzen Gashi, Jermaine Jones, Marco Pappa, Luis Solignac
