In a match that the Colorado Rapids were playing well, one horrible mistake cost the Rapids in this one. The Colorado Rapids lost to Real Salt Lake 1-0 in the first of three Rocky Mountain Cup matches.

The Rapids had some good opportunities in the first half and were holding their own in the second when Zac MacMath decided to go on a walk-a-bout and was chipped by Axel Sjoberg. That was all that Real Salt Lake needed to secure the three points and remain unbeaten in MLS this season.

It is a quick turn-around for the Rapids as they travel to Kansas City on Wednesday. That may be a good thing, the Rapids will need to get what happened in this match out of their collective memory.

In the ratings article on Tuesday, I will share the summary of the ratings so far. You will be able to see how each player was rated for each match plus their summary for the season.
