MLS Viewing Guide, Round Four

MLS is back after a one week break (well, for most teams)

Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Week four is here in Major League Soccer and with it comes nine matches the digest and enjoy this weekend.

Here is your MLS Viewing Guide for Week Four!

New England Revolution vs New York Red Bulls--5:00 PM MDT--Gillette Stadium--UniMas

I am still trying to figure out how the Revs have not won, other than the obvious: they are not a good team.  I know that they will think they can win this one, but this feels like a draw.

Chicago Fire vs Philadelphia Union--3:00 PM MDT--Toyota Park--MLS Live

Chicago is due and Philly might be playing a tad over their station.  Call this a win for the Fire

Colorado Rapids vs Toronto FC--6:00 PM MDT--Dick's Sporting Goods Park--Altitude 2

I so badly want to pick the Rapids in this one.  I really, really do.  So screw it.  I am gonna do just that!  I want to.  But I can't.  I am still too skeptical after three average, at best, performances.  Toronto win

Sporting Kansas City vs Real Salt Lake--6:30 PM MDT--Children's Mercy Park--MLS Live

One of the matches of the weekend, Sporting takes on a RSL team that will be missing Kyle Beckerman.  Whether the RSL captain is there or not this feels like a win for Sporting.

FC Dallas vs Columbus Crew SC--7:00 PM MDT--Toyota Stadium--MLS Live

FCD has been playing some terrific soccer as late and are clearly one of the class teams in MLS.  But the Crew are due for a win and I think they pull off an upset on Saturday and take all three points.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs LA Galaxy--8:00 PM MDT--BC Place--MLS Live

The Galaxy are playing on turf and will not have their Captain Robbie Keane.  But the Caps can't score goals (except when their players dive on PK's) and this feels like a match where the Galaxy can get a result.  And that result will be a win.

Seattle Sounders vs Montreal Impact--8:00 PM MDT--Century Link Field--MLS Live

Seattle is 0-3 on the season.  But they are not a bad team, just an unlucky team that has been undone by poor decision making and poor refereeing.  They are due for a win and I think they defeat an overrated Impact club.

San Jose Earthquakes vs D.C. United--8:30 PM MDT--Avaya Stadium--MLS Live

LOL.  Thanks for coming DCU.  San Jose win.

Orlando City SC vs Portland Timbers--6:00 PM MDT--Orlando Citrus Bowl--Fox Sports 1

This may be the best match of the weekend.  Both teams are used to playing on plastic so neither should have an issue with the Orlando surface.  This one should be good and it will favor the home team.  Call this a win for the Lions.
