The Colorado Rapids took on the San Jose Earthquakes in the season opener on March 6, 2016, and it didn't go well for the burgundy boys as they lost 1-0. The boys came out asleep after halftime and gave up a quick goal to Chris Wondolowski.

This is a new feature on Burgundy Wave. In addition to my player reviews that come out a couple of days after the match, we wanted to give you an opportunity to rate the players on the same scale I do. We will then average the communities score and report them with each of the players in that review. We will keep a running average throughout the entire season.

This idea came from fellow SBNation Blog Cartilage Free Captain. Thanks to them for the idea.

Today saw the Rapids debut for many of the new acquisitions, Eric Miller, Marco Pappa, Micheal Azira and Shkelzen Gashi. Though they didn't get the win, it was an improvement over last season.

If you need some help, here is a little guide to go by as you consider your ratings.

10: World Class or Amazing

9: Very good

8: Good

7: Above Average

6: Average

5: Below Average

4: Bad

3: Very bad

2: Abysmal

1: This is bad, just like RSL in CONCACAF Champions League

Now it is your chance, let us know how you think they did. Make sure you submit your rating before 5 p.m. MST on Tuesday to be included.
