The Colorado Rapids finally get at it this weekend and open up their 21st Major League Soccer season.  They are in San Jose now and will get two days of practice on the natural grass before playing the Quakes on Sunday.

Here are some of the soccer stories we are following right now:

New York City FC is denying reports that their first round draft pick, Jack Harrison is out for the year.

The Charlotte Independence signed a goalkeeper on Thursday.

Sticking with the Independence, they also announced that they had added a striker to their ranks.

Didier Drogba will not play on turf to start the regular season for Montreal Impact.

Gyasi Zardes signed a new contract in Major League Soccer

Here is the official SB Nation MLS 2016 preview.  Good stuff on all 20 teams and of course, our Rapids.

PRO Referees released their points of emphasis that they will be focusing in 2016.  Take that for what you will.
