It's really that simple:
The Olympics are on the line.
And for the United States U-23 Men's National Team it doesn't get any easier--win and you qualify for Rio. Tie and you may qualify (depending on score). Lose and you miss out on the Olympics.
The Goal for the USA: Win
What to Watch For
1) That Match: How many people truly felt that the United States could somehow grab a result in Colombia. Truly. How many felt that they would? Not many but it was a great effort and game by the boys. They were able to grab an early goal and then hold on and grab a crucial road point. And of course, the away goal.
2) Ethan Horvath: The USA goalkeeper was subbed out injured but according to an article at MLS Soccer, he will be ready to go if called upon. He is the first choice shot stopper and the USA looked better with him in there anchoring the defense.
3) Colorado Connection: Colorado Rapids players Eric Miller and Dillon Serna were called up to the squad and Miller played the full 90 and Serna did not make the game day 18.
