The Colorado Rapids meet LA Galaxy this Saturday as the Burgundy Boys look to get back to the playoffs and make a run at their second MLS Cup. This will be a difficult match for the Rapids, but with the home crowd behind them this one is a winnable match.
Here is your MLS Viewing Guide, Round Two:
Friday, 11 March 2016
Orlando City vs Chicago Fire--5:00 PM MST--Orlando Citrus Bowl (UniMas)
Neither of these teams played particularly well in week one with OCSC needing two late stoppage time goals to salvage a draw. But Chicago is really a bad team and I think they get run out of the park by the Lions in this one.
Saturday, 12 March 2016
New England Revolution vs D.C. United--1:00 PM MST--Gillette Stadium (MLS Live)
The Revs are going to be able to score some goals this season and I am not sure how many goals DCU keeps out in this one. Call this a Revs win.
Real Salt Lake vs Seattle Sounders--2:00 PM MST--Rio Tinto Stadium (MLS Live)
RSL had the win in Orlando. They had it. Then they absolutely blew it and came away with a point. I think this one is a draw as well as Seattle will be ready to play and not fear the Utah crowd.
Montreal Impact vs New York Red Bulls--2:00 PM MST--Olympic Stadium (MLS Live)
Montreal had an impressive road win to start the year and the Red Bulls looked flat. I think that trend continues and the Impact get the win.
Colorado Rapids vs LA Galaxy--5:00 PM MST--Dick's Sporting Goods Park (Altitude) TICKETS
I want so very badly to pick the Rapids here but the Galaxy are a good team and despite missing Giovani dos Santos and Dan Kennedy, the Galaxy should have too much for the Rapids.
Columbus Crew SC vs Philadelphia Union--5:30 PM MST--MAPFRE Stadium (MLS Live)
Thanks for playing Union. Crew win big.
Sporting Kansas City vs Vancouver Whitecaps--6:30 PM MST--Children's Mercy Park (MLS Live)
Two of the class teams in the West but only one of them wins this one and it is Sporting.
Houston Dynamo vs FC Dallas--6:30 PM MST--BBVA Compass Stadium (MLS Live)
The battle for Texas! Dallas is a far better team but for some reason this feels like a draw. But an entertaining draw.
Sunday, 13 March 2016
New York City FC vs Toronto FC--3:00 PM MDT--Yankee Stadium (ESPN2)
NYCFC gave up three goals to a crap Fire team and Toronto FC has a much better team than they did last season. However, the NYCFC front line is much better than what TFC faced last week so call this a draw.
San Jose Earthquakes vs Portland Timbers--5:00 PM MDT--Avaya Stadium (Fox Sports 1)
Yeah, the Quakes are average at best and Portland is better than most. So of course it will be a Quakes win.
