Soccer in its most pure form is a simple and beautiful game. You put out a team out there against another team and you try and score more goals then your opposition.
Simple and beautiful.
This was in full display on Friday night at Boulder Indoor Soccer as Harpo's FC routed Rush ISC 13-3 in front of a packed crowd at Boulder Indoor Soccer. The match started as a cagey affair with both clubs feeling each other out and Rush had a bit of possession but ultimately could not do much with it. However, Harpo's FC opened the scoring with 12 minutes left in the first and quickly added a second to bring it to 2-0. Rush would pull one back and make it 2-1, but that was as close as they would get as the first period ended 4-1 to Harpo's FC
And by the end of the first half, the game was 6-2 to Harpo's FC.
It got worse for Rush at that point as Harpo's FC put seven goals past the Rush in the second half. And when it was over, Harpo's FC players came out to greet their supporters and offer their sincere thanks for the lift that the crowd gave them.
With the win, Harpo's FC moved to 4-0-1 (12 points) and sit first in the PASL (Premier Arena Soccer League) Rocky Mountain Division Table while Rush dropped to 2-0-4 (6 points) and are in fourth position.
Harpo's FC next take the pitch on February 12 at 8 PM MST against Real Colorado Edge at Longmont Indoor Soccer.
