Colorado Rapids vs Arizona United SC: How to Watch, Live Stream and More

The final match of the 2016 preseason is here!

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids take the pitch for the final time in preseason as they take on USL side Arizona United SC in a match that has no impact on the standings, but is crucial for the Rapids.  There are a number of trialists and draft picks who will be looking to make the roster and this may be their last chance to impress.

The Goal for the Rapids:  Figure out who will make this team (and a win would be nice too)

What to Watch For:

1)  Trialists: There are a number of Lads who are still looking at making the team including Stephen Keel, AJ Cochran, and Brad Spenser.  There are roster spots available on the team, but are they players that the Rapids want to sign and don Burgundy this season?

2)  Draft Picks: Dennis Castillo and Chris Frouchauer have seen some good minutes in the preseason and *seem* the most likely to get offered deals.  But in the case of Frouchauer, I think the pending addition of Tim Howard makes things more interesting.  Assuming that Howard is signed, that makes Frouchauer the #4 keeper behind Zac MacMath and John Berner.  The Rapids sent Berner on loan last season as the number 3 keeper and I have to think when Howard arrives, that scenario happens again.  Perhaps Frouchauer is signed as insurance until then, but it is hard to envision that.  I think Castillo makes the team and possible gets loaned out to Charlotte.

3)  Goals: But let's not forget that it would be great to see the Rapids score some goals in this one.  They have scored just 3 times in their last 4 games, and that is not going to be good enough.  They looked better at times on Wednesday, but they need to convert that into goals.
