Jermaine Jones has one foot out the door

The plot thickens.

MLS: Playoffs-Los Angeles Galaxy at Colorado Rapids Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Despite the headline, I’m not really one for stirring up drama, but this Jermaine Jones stuff is just too much.

In September, our very own Rapids Rabbi chronicled the season of Jermaine Jones, calling it “a bit of a saga”. Everyone was super psyched that he joined the team. Then he got injured with what was initially a sprain, but we later (much later) found out that his LCL was practically ripped from the bone.

But he healed up, he came back, and fans rejoiced.

Then Jermaine Jones broke our hearts with this tweet that he posted right after the Colorado Rapids lost to Seattle in the second leg of the Western Conference Finals:

The tweet was deleted, and then it appeared that he was trying to save face a couple days later:

But things started to look a little familiar, so Rapids South Stands talked with Jake at The Bent Musket (the New England Revolution blog), and sure enough, JJ seems to be developing a pattern.

And then this happened tonight.

I think we’ve seen the last of Jermaine Jones in Colorado.

UPDATE: It’s been confirmed that the LA Galaxy is in talks with JJ.
