USMNT v. Mexico: How to watch the World Cup Qualifying match

The Colorado Rapids have two men playing in the match today.

Editor’s note: Based on a small sample in the Burgundy Wave Twitter feed, I find that there are two kinds of people—those who think soccer is insignificant right now and those who think soccer is a good distraction right now. I can understand both positions, but felt that it was important to post this for those who are interested.

Jermaine Jones and Tim Howard will be representing the Colorado Rapids when the national team takes on Mexico in Columbus, Ohio later today. Both men have been called up in the past. Jones didn’t play in the most recent U.S. Men’s National Team matches in October likely because of his knee injury.

Howard, on the other hand, was named starting goalkeeper about an hour after the Rapids defeated the LA Galaxy in penalty kicks last weekend. He has faced the Mexican side 10 different times, three of those times being World Cup Qualifiers.
