The Colorado Rapids began their playoff run against the Los Angeles Galaxy on a cool day in the city of angels. It was a match like their other three matches and that did not include a lot of scoring. The Galaxy beat the Rapids 1-0.

The first 45 minutes was, and in fact the entire 90 minutes, was not real pretty to look it. It was just like their previous three matches. There were only 3 goals scored in the regular season.

The Galaxy got on the board in the 55' when Giovanni dos Santos headed a ball in off Axel Sjoberg. The ball bounced off Sjoberg and over Tim Howard into the net. The ball looked like it was going wide if it had missed Sjoberg so I wonder why that was not an own goal.

The Rapids only managed one shot on goal. That is just not going to cut it in the playoffs.
