The Rapids take on the LA Galaxy in the first leg of a two-match series, home and home (LA, then Colorado). The winner on aggregate (total goals from both games) goes through to play the winner of FC Dallas-Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Western Conference Finals. As in Europe, MLS uses the ‘away goals’ rule, meaning a 1-1 draw in LA puts extra pressure on LA to be extra aggressive when they visit Colorado next Sunday, November 6. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Game begins at 3pm MST on ESPN and MLS Live (blackouts apply.)
The Rapids have Jermaine Jones and Marlon Hairston beginning the match on the bench, and the Galaxy have Steven Gerrard, Mike Magee and Robbie Keane on the pine to start the match.
Let’s get it boys! #KeepFighting #Rapids96
