Bring on the ‘Quakes!

MLS: San Jose Earthquakes at Colorado Rapids Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids are catching fire. With seven goals in their last three games, it feels like the offense is getting going just in time for the playoffs. The Rapids have just two games left in the regular season after tonight, away vs. the Portland Timbers, and one last home match against Houston Dynamo.

The team has already earned a club record 54 points, but they aren’t stopping until they get the MLS Cup. #KeepFighting isn’t just a hashtag, y’all. And while the goal is to raise that Supporters’ Shield trophy, even second place in the Western Conference would get us a Champions League spot. So really, everything from here out is just icing on the cake.

But first, can we finally take down the San Jose Earthquakes? The Rapids haven’t beaten them since 2011, which means that San Jose is on a 14-game unbeaten streak against the Burgundy Boys. So without further adieu, here’s the starting XI that’s gonna do it.
