RUMOR: Rapids Trying To Sign Mexico International Pulido

The Transfer Season is in full swing and the Rapids are being linked to another striker

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

I know they say Christmas time is the most wonderful time of the year, but for me this January is pretty damn awesome as well.  To wit:

The MLS Combine starts on January 7

The MLS SuperDraft happens on January 14

And of course, that Transfer Window.

Yesterday, I spoke about a rumor that the Colorado Rapids were looking at a Colombian striker and today it appears they are in hot pursuit of Mexican International Alan Pulido.  According to Nick Sabetti, the Rapids are after Pulido and are on their way to Greece to acquire his signature.

So what do we know about Pulido?  Well, we know that he is unhappy at his club Olympiakos according to reports and is looking for a way out.  He has made six appearances for the Mexican National Team and scored 4 goals and plays striker for club and country.

And coincidentally, the Rapids are in need of help up front.

A 24 year old striker for plays for El Tri could be a massive hit in Commerce City.  And he would represent a major get for the Rapids and show the supporters that the Rapids are trying on building a winner in Major League Soccer.
