Rapids Get Allocation Money as Figueroa Signs For FC Dallas

Well, we have more Allocation Money

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids announced today that they have received General Allocation Money for former Rapids defender Maynor Figueroa who was able to secure a contract with FC Dallas.  This is technically considered a trade as the Rapids still held onto his rights.

For Figueroa this is a terrific move as he will move to arguably the best team in the Western Conference and will get a chance to play for Oscar Pareja who has had great success as coach of FC Dallas leading the hoops to the Western Conference finals last year.

As for the Rapids, they continue to accumulate Allocation Money as they prepare for the 2016 season but many supporters are going to be asking the question:  what is the plan.

So what do you think Rapids fans?  Leave your thoughts below!
