The 2016 Major League Soccer SuperDraft is finally here are for the Colorado Rapids this is a big step for them as they continue to work on erasing the disappointment of the last two years.  There is a lot of talent out there that the Rapids can go after and they do have the second pick in the draft.

The goal for the Rapids:  Try and draft playmakers that will make the team better.

What to Watch For:

1)  To Trade or Not to Trade: The Rapids have a pretty big decision ahead of them.  To trade the pick or not to trade the pick.

wrote yesterday about the pro and cons of trading the second pick, and regardless of what the Rapids do, they have a pretty major decision to make.

2)  If you keep the pick: You have two pretty clear cut choices:  Brandon Vincent (defender out of Stanford) or Jack Harrison (midfielder out of Wake Forest).  The Rapids need help in creating offensive chances (which Harrison will do) and they are incredibly thin along the back-line which Vincent can help with.  Both are potential starters from day one.

3)  The Later Rounds: The Rapids are still in need of depth at a number of positions, so don't sleep on the later rounds.  I can see the Rapids picking up forward and defensive depth as they look to get ready for 2016.
