The Colorado Rapids made the third and final trip to BBVA Compass Stadium in 2015 and dropped a 3:2 decision to Houston Dynamo. For the Rapids it marked, perhaps, their most disastrous defensive performance of the year and in turn proved the point:
The Rapids are not a good team.
I have a number of witty things I could say about this one. But at the end of the day, the Rapids started eight defensive players (Clint Irwin, Maynor Figueroa, Sean St. Ledger, Bobby Burling, Drew Moor, Lucas Pittinari, Jared Watts, and Marcelo Sarvas) and, shockingly, could not win the game.
And they started Dillon Powers as a striker.
So, meh, we lost again.
At this point of the year it is tough to be positive, but Vicente Sanchez had himself a hell of a game. He picked up a brace and looked dangerous all night.
But other than that....the Rapids lost again. And with just four games left in the season, the playoffs are done and dusted.
At least Pablo is coming back.
