Can the Rapids Win Without Doyle and Serna?

Two Rapids are looking at getting an International Call-Up in October

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

There has not been much consistency in the Colorado Rapids season this year, except for Dillon Serna and Kevin Doyle getting looks at the International level:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">NEWS: <a href="">#Rapids96</a> Dillon Serna added to <a href="">@ussoccer</a> U-23 Roster for <a href="">@CONCACAF</a> Olympic Qualifiers. <a href=""></a> <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) <a href="">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote>

Both of these moves not shockers as both Serna and Doyle have been called up multiple times for the U-23 USMNT for Serna and the Republic of Ireland for Doyle.

This is great news for both players, but not so much for the Rapids--from the perspective of losing two key players in early October.  The Rapids have Real Salt Lake (10/4) and Montreal Impact (10/10) to end their home fixtures for the year and when the Rapids play RSL the Rocky Mountain Cup is on the line.  Somehow the Rapids will need to learn how to play without those two players in a match that offers the only chance of silverware this year.
