The Colorado Rapids will look to build on their 1-0 win over Chicago on Saturday evening as they welcome Houston Dynamo to Commerce City. The Rocky Mountain club are still mathematically alive in the Western Conference playoff race, but it's safe to say that a playoff run is highly unlikely. Regardless, the Rapids could look to play spoiler down the stretch and Houston is a team that is in the hunt for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Colorado (6-9-9, 27 points) defeated Chicago Fire 1-0 on the weekend. Dillon Serna scored for the visitors just 45 seconds into the match and the Rapids held on to claim all three points in the Windy City. Colorado goalkeeper Clint Irwin made 4 saves but was fortunate to not see a straight red card in the first half for handling the ball outside the area. The win is definitely a morale-booster as the club prepares to face Chicago and Sporting KC at home for the next two matches

Houston (8-9-8, 32 points) are coming off a 2-2 draw on the road in Portland. The Texan side were able to take a 2-0 lead into halftime, but the visitors were not able to hold the lead as Lucas Melano and Darlington Nagbe found the scoresheet to claim a share of the spoils. Boniak Garcia and Will Bruin did score for Houston.

The Rapids have endured a frustrating season, but with a win, the club can start to regain confidence down the stretch as the team will want to continue to get results. Pablo Mastroeni could have a selection headache as players such as Gaby Torres and Dillon Serna started strong in Saturday's win over Chicago. The Rapids also play host to Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night.
