A disappointing result at home for the Burgundy Boys

Well, at least it didn't rain.  I had brought two of my mates with me to the match last night and the last time we were all at a Colorado Rapids match together it rained cats and dogs.

So, at least it did not rain.

But in terms of the football, it was a very disappointing display from the Rapids in a 1-3 loss to LA Galaxy.  Look, it was always going to be a tough ask for the Rapids.  The Galaxy are a very, very good team and the two organizations are light years apart in their ability and willingness to attract big name players.  When you line up against a team that features Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard and Gyasi Zardes.....yikes.  It is going to be difficult.

The Rapids started brightly enough and actually had a 1-0 lead going into half time.  But the second half the trend of the Rapids not being able to finish came back for the Burgundy Boys and LA ran them off the pitch.  The loss for the Rapids brings their record to 5-7-9 on the year and still has them in 10th place in the Western Conference.

So who was your Rapids Man of the Match?  Let us know in the poll and have your voice be heard.
