The Draw for the 2015 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament was held today and we learned the fate of the U-23 USMNT squad with who they might face.
Group A:
United States of America, Canada, Cuba, Panama
Group B:
Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Costa Rica/Guatemala
When looking at the draw for the USA, this looks favorable and one that they should advance out of (I am conveniently ignoring the 2012 olympic qualifying when the USA should have advanced as well). Dick's Sporting Goods Park was named a host city for the qualifying and will see all eight teams over two days in October. Here is a schedule for the Group State for Olympic Qualifying:
October 1--Sporting Park--Kansas City, Kansas
Panama vs Cuba
United States of America vs Canada
October 2--StubHub Center--Carson, California
Honduras vs Haiti
Mexico vs Costa Rica/Guatemala
October 3--Sporting Park--Kansas City, Kansas
Canada vs Panama
United States of America vs Cuba
October 4--StubHub Center--Carson, California
Honduras vs Costa Rica/Guatemala
Mexico vs Haiti
October 6--Dick's Sporting Goods Park--Commerce City, Colorado
Canada vs Cuba
United States of America vs Panama
October 7--Dick's Sporting Goods Park--Commerce City, Colorado
Costa Rica/Guatemala vs Haiti
Mexico vs Honduras
The Knock-Out and Finals rounds will occur at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah on October 10 and 13.
Tickets will be available for the matches at DSGP on August 27 at 10AM MDT via ussoccer.com.
