The Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City meet (finally) for the first time in 2015 and for the Rapids this is a must win. No need to beat around the bush on this one. The Rapids must win this match to have any shot at the playoffs. For Sporting they will be looking to rebound after suffering defeat to RSL last Sunday.
The Goal for the Rapids: All three points.
What to Watch For
1) A goal. Any goal. The defense for the Rapids is actually pretty good and Clint Irwin and company have done well protecting the Rapids net. But the Rapids offense is so bad it is difficult to put into words. Luis Solignac had a perfect opportunity on Wednesday night in Orlando and he simply choked. For me, he is on the bench for this one. But the reality is that the Rapids need to score and I do not care where it comes from. It just has to happen.
2) Who Starts, Who Sits? The Rapids are clearly a bad team and much of that comes from the coaching staff. But this starting lineup is the most important one they will make all year. They have to get this right as the Rapids need this game in a bad, bad way.
3) The Lost Season, The Lost Coach? Pablo Mastroeni looks completely and utterly out of his depth right now. It could be excused last year, but no more. Pablo MUST find a way to motivate his players and get them prepared to play and win this match. A loss at Sporting makes a massive task almost impossible. Win Pablo. Just win. No more ties, no more speeches of you making excuses. Win. This. Match.

Predicted Starting XI
Honestly, I have no clue as nothing that the Rapids seem to do is correct. But here is my best guess:
Clint Irwin, Michael Harrington, Drew Moor, Shane O'Neill, Marlon Hairston, Dillon Serna, Marcelo Sarvas, Sam Cronin, Dillon Powers, Charles Eloundou, Kevin Doyle
