Charlotte Independence vs Charleston Battery: How to Watch, Live Stream and More

Charlotte takes on one of the USL's best today when they play Charleston at the debut of the Ramblewood Soccer Complex.

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Independence return to USL action after a midweek shocker in which they defeated New England Revolution 1-0 in the Fourth Round of the US Open Cup.  For the Independence, they are taking on the Charleston Battery who have tasted defeat just one time.

The goal for the Independence: win another one at home.

The Eastern Conference Table:

What to Watch For:

1)  Ramblewood is Open (mostly):  The home pitch for the Independence will make its debut this weekend, but it has not been without controversy:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">What happened to &quot;doing Ramblewood right&quot; like <a href="">@CLTIndependence</a> said last week? Why are we now dealing w/ a 25% finished stadium? <a href="">#COYJ</a></p>&mdash; Crown Town Soccer (@crowntownsoccer) <a href="">June 19, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//" charset="utf-8"></script>

2)  A Hangover? The victory for Charlotte on Wednesday was such a remarkable thing and the Lads gave their all, it makes you wonder if they will suffer a hangover against Charleston today.  Charleston had a rough week as well dropping their fourth round match to Orlando City in PK's.  Needless to say, Charleston will be inspired and the Independence could suffer from a bit of "big-win-itis."
