The Colorado Rapids will look to get their first win in nearly a month as they aim to climb out of the bottom of the Western Conference table. San Jose will make their first visit to Commerce City, Colorado in 2015 and Marvell Wynne could be relishing the opportunity to play against his former club as well. The Rapids will return to Colorado after a two game road trip in New York and Los Angeles.

Colorado (1-2-6, 9 points) are coming off a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy on the weekend. Gaby Torres scored his 4th goal of the season but Alan Gordon found the scoresheet and was able to prevent the Rapids from leaving the StubHub Center with all three points. It was another point on the road for Colorado, but not enough to lift the club out of basement of the Western Conference.

San Jose (4-4-1, 13 points) are coming off 1-0 win on Tuesday evening at Houston Dynamo. The Earthquakes caught Houston napping and took advantage of a quick free kick and an Adam Jahn header to claim all three points at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Earthquakes also escaped Rio Tinto Stadium with a 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake on the weekend.

The Rapids will be boosted by news that Irish International Kevin Doyle will be joining the team at the end of May after English Championship club Wolverhampton Wonderers, commonly known as Wolves, allowed the striker to leave before the end of his contract in June. The midlands club missed out of the Promotion Playoffs and while Doyle will most likely have some much-needed rest after a long campaign, the Rapids will be very happy he will be joining earlier than expected.
