Is there anything better?
In my opinion, there is not. Watching the magic of the FA Cup every year where David can occasionally beat Goliath makes that tournament engaging and must see TV. The US Open Cup is not quite there yet, but with some of the structural changes over the past couple of years, it has greatly improved.
The Second Round proper of the 2015 edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup opened yesterday with one game on the schedule, but the bulk of the second round matches are taking place today, including the Colorado Rapids USL affiliate Charlotte Independence at home against Upward Stars. Our neighbors to the south, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC take on sentimental favorites Harpo's FC (from Boulder) at Sand Creek Stadium in Colorado Springs.
