Colorado Rapids at LA Galaxy: How To Watch, TV Information, Live Stream and More

The Rapids tackle the defending MLS Cup Champs on the road tonight. Is there any hope for a result?

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Of course there is hope!

I mean, if there was not hope, why even bother playing the game.

But seriously, yes, there is hope in this one for the Colorado Rapids to get a result.  And you could make a serious argument that they should have gotten a win out of their match in Harrison, New Jersey.  And as the Rapids take on the defending MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy tonight in Carson, the question has to be asked:  can the Rapids get another result on the road?

(Yes, they can)

The Goal for the Rapids:  Get a result on the road

What To Watch For:

1) Personnel Decisions: Two games in four days will necessitate some decisions with the roster and who starts for the club.  If you remember the Rapids had a starting XI of Clint Irwin, Michael Harrington, Bobby Burling, Axel Sjoberg, Ben Newnam, Nick LaBrocca, Lucas Pittinari, Juan Ramirez, Dillon Powers, Gabriel Torres and Dominique Badji.  I am not sure who will start from that group, but the Rapids have more depth this year than last, so it may not be necessary for every person from the Wednesday game to start tonight.

2) That Finishing: Still crappy.  Still iffy at best for our Burgundy Boys.  What is it going to take for them to consistently put balls in the back of the net?  It is obviously a concern for the Rapids as they have signed Kevin Doyle and just made this move.  I would hope that the Lads on the roster get the message that playing time is on the line and reinforcements are on their way.  And those reinforcements are going to want to start the match.

3) The Gabriel Torres Revival Show: Torres is a new man.  Three goals already this year and it looks like he is finally enjoying his soccer in Colorado.  I really think Torres will be a difference maker as long as he is not relied upon to be the goal scoring leader.

Predicted Starting XI:

This is the tough one for me.  With the games coming so close to one another, this is truly a crap shoot.  But here goes:

Irwin, Harrington, Burling, Shane O'Neill, James Riley, Jared Watts, Sam Cronin, Dillon Serna, Torres, Vicente Sanchez, Charles Eloundou.

However, I could see Powers starting along with Ramirez.  But it is anyones guess at this point.

This will serve as your official Burgundy Wave Game Thread for this important Western Conference clash.  Of course, don't forget to check back for game recaps, commentary and opinion after the match concludes.
