Old Time Western Conference Rivals Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City square off for the first time in 2015 in Kansas City, Kansas at 6:30 PM. The Rapids and Sporting are separated by only four points in the table, but it is quite clear that SKC is the more fancied side by the "experts" and this will pose a strong challenge for our Burgundy Boys.

The goal for this match: Another road result would do just fine.

What To Watch For:

1) A Debut In Kansas: The Rapids have a new toy in their garage and I think they want to take it out for a spin and see what it can do. From everything I have heard and seen, Luis Solignac is fit and ready to go. Will be make his Rapids debut tonight? I think so:

Pablo said of Luis Solignac's physical, he was one of the fittest players the team docs have tested. #Rapids96
— Daniel Boniface (@danielboniface) May 12, 2015

2) Can The Road Form Continue: While the home form has been a complete joke for the Rapids, this is not the case on the road. The Rapids play with zero fear on the road and seem much more comfortable against opposing crowds. That being said, they have not played at a place like Sporting Park and the absolutely crazy atmosphere that it has. It will take a complete team effort to grab a point in KC.

3) A Run Needs To Start: Although the Rapids are only four points out of a playoff spot, the time to start putting results (and more specifically wins) together is now. Falling further behind at this stage of the season means a lot of scoreboard watching and a more difficult climb up the table. This is a game where a win is possible.

I really do think that Pablo Mastroeni will start Solignac tonight and that will mean a trip to the bench for Dominique Badji. My starting XI prediction:
