Colorado Rapids Release New Secondary Kit

New, 3 comments

At an event in Downtown Denver tonight, the Colorado Rapids released their secondary kit to a packed crowd of supporters.

A beautiful, albeit chilly Colorado evening, greeted supporters as the Colorado Rapids released their secondary kit for the 2015 season at a packed pub in Lower Downtown Denver.  This new kit comes off the highly successful 'Colorado Flag" kit that was used in the 2013 and 2014 season.  Here is the kit:

It is a classic look that is based again on the Colorado State Flag and is a primarily yellow kit with blue strips down the sleeves and the embossed 'C' in the middle of the jersey.  It has a Colorado Flag in the jock tag and has the traditional 5280 on the back.

As I look at the kit it is a reflection on the Rapids thinking outside of the box on this one.  They certainly could have gone with a white secondary jersey or the lighter blue that has been used in past variations.  But at the end of the day, this kit is bold and embraces the "Colorado For Life" philosophy that the club is using.

What say you Rapids fans?  Do you like the new kit?  Hit us up in the comments below!
