You will have to excuse me for not getting on this sooner, but I was out with the family enjoying a nice evening that got that much better with word that the Major League Soccer Players Union and Ownership agreed to a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Let that sink in: WE HAVE A NEW CBA!
Our very own Clint Irwin had this to say:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Extremely proud of all the <a href="https://twitter.com/MLSPlayersUnion">@MLSPlayersUnion</a> reps and members for working together to accomplish so much. Time for First Kick! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/unity2015?src=hash">#unity2015</a></p>— Clint Irwin (@ClintIrwin) <a href="https://twitter.com/ClintIrwin/status/573285915772235776">March 5, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Bottom line is this: If you are a Colorado Rapids fan or a fan of professional soccer in the United States, this is a very big deal. The idea of the season not starting on time could have been a brutal death nail for soccer, instead the sides worked hard and got a deal done. Details are sketchy at this point, but bottom line is this: we have a Rapids match this weekend!
Can I say this: Come on you Rapids!
