The Colorado Rapids will look to get their first win of 2015 as they will do battle with the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday evening. The Rapids have had two consecutive nil-nil draws to open the campaign and while the club hasn't given up a goal in 180 minutes, they haven't scored one yet either.
Colorado (0-0-2, 2 points), are coming off a 0-0 home draw against New York City FC at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on the weekend. The big names of NYCFC were frustrated in the Mile High City as David Villa and Mix Diskerud both fired blanks. However, the Rapids had plenty of chances to win the game and were particularly wasteful in front of goal.
Houston (1-1-1, 4 points), can take solace from a road draw against the LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center. Former Rapids player Nathan Sturgis found the scoresheet as the Orange earned a point against the defending MLS Cup Champions. Houston did lose Ricardo Clark and DeMarcus Beasley to injuries. Both players are unlikely to play against Colorado on Saturday evening.
Colorado will also not be at full strength as Drew Moor is still recovering from injury, while Shane O'Neill is on national team duty for the United States. It is unclear whether defender Axel Sjoberg will take part in the game. Meanwhile, Colorado has loaned out forwards Charles Eloundou, Caleb Calvert, and Goalkeeper John Berner to the Charlotte Independence of the USL.
