Let this soak in for a moment Colorado Rapids fans:

#Rapids96 partner with @Transamerica for major jersey sponsorship. That is right, the Rapids have a new shirt sponsor. After the ill-fated attempt with Ciao last year, the Rapids wasted no time in signing up a new shirt sponsor. And for all of those who did not know Ciao, I doubt many people have not heard of Transamerica. This is a major deal for the Rapids and a massive company with significant brand recognition.
Rapids President Tim Hinchey had this to say on the deal:
"We are truly grateful and excited to announce this new global partnership with Transamerica. Transamerica has wonderful history with an iconic brand that is poised to make a significant impact in our club, our sport, our league and here in Colorado"
There were many fans who game the club and more specifically Mr Hinchey grief about the failed shirt sponsorship with Ciao. I hope those same fans will now congratulate him and the Rapids for this new and improved deal with Transamerica.
