Transfer Rumors: Deshorn Brown To Norway And Kevin Doyle--Maybe?

Some interesting news over the internets today as there is a rumor that Deshorn Brown could be on his way to Norway and a possible snag has developed in the Kevin Doyle transfer saga.

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

I tend to take transfer rumors with a grain of salt. So many times you hear about one player going here or one player going there with not much substance to them.  And so I report this with a bit of hesitation:

Deshorn Brown is on his way to Norway?

Roughly translated:

Brown is being linked to a move to Valerenga FC in the Norway first division.

OK, so there is that.  Is it true?  Is it not true?  Honestly, who knows.  But Brown is a young player who may be looking to take his talents to Oslo.  And after two 10 goal seasons for the Rapids, you see why he may want a move overseas.  Especially if he is not happy with the club or his role with the team.

It was also reported today that Wolverhampton Forward Kevin Doyle, who has been linked in transfer rumors to the Colorado Rapids, may be delayed in coming.

My thoughts are simple on this: Doyle can come as a free transfer this summer so why not wait until then.  There is no point in paying a fee to get him now if they can wait until the end of the Championship season in England (Wolves play in the second division in England--The Championship).

So what do you think Rapids fans?  Do you want to (possibly) lose Deshorn?  And would you be excited about Kevin Doyle?  Let us know in the comments!
