So there you go.
For most of the off-season, Colorado Rapids President Tim Hinchey has been saying that the team would add a second Designated Player. And if you believe the reports, it looks like it has happened:
#Rapids have added 21-yr old MF Juan Ramirez as DP for transfer fee in excess of $2m. Awaiting visa paperwork.

Juan Ramirez, a 21 year old attacking midfielder from Argentinos Juniors appears to be on his way to Commerce City in way of a sale in excess of $2 million. This is a significant 'get' for the Rapids and makes their attack look much better especially when you look at the struggles that it had in the second half of the year:
Goals For | Goals Against | |
2014 Games 1-17 | 24 | 19 |
2014 Games 18-24 | 19 | 43 |
Ramirez is a left sided player which, in theory, would allow players like Gabriel Torres, Deshorn Brown, and Dillon Powers more freedom to play in their natural positions and would open up attacking lanes for the Rapids.
This is some pretty exciting news Rapids fans. What do you think? Hit us in the comments below!
