Zat Knight Leaves Rapids

The Zat Knight era ends before it really begins.

As the pre-season continues to roll on some good news trickled out of Commerce City today as it was reported that Colorado Rapids and Zat Knight agreed to part ways.

I have never been a huge fan with Knight and for a guy that was brought it for defensive help, he struggled significantly providing that defensive cover he was supposed to bring.  If you remember back to the Chivas USA game he was absolutely shredded twice en route to a shocking loss to a club that no longer exists.   With the addition of players like Michael Harrington, Bobby Burling, and Axel Sjoberg and the pending return of Drew Moor, Knight was no longer needed.  And lest we forget that Knight was given the Captains armband for the final matches of the 2014 season.

So what say you Rapids fans?  Are you disappointed that Knight is gone?
