We have begun our look back at individual player performances for the 2015 Colorado Rapids. Each day we will look at a different player and see what went right and what went wrong. Please feel free to leave your comments below and let us know your thoughts.
Burgundy Wave Player Grades
Player: Caleb Calvert
Position: Forward
2015 Statistics (with Colorado)
Calvert did not make an appearance with Colorado in 2015
2015 Statistics (with Charlotte)
Games Played | Games Started | Minutes | Goals | Assists | Shots | Shots on Goal | GWG |
20 | 2 | 489 | 2 | 2 | 17 | 8 | 1 |
Highlight of the Year: Calvert was able to score twice for Charlotte this season and added two assists and had nearly 50% of his shots be on target for the Independence.
Lowlight of the Year: But, Calvert only played 489 minutes and started just twice for Charlotte. For a team that was as goal starved as the Independence, that is a bit worrying. (Charlotte only scored 38 goals this year)
2015 Grade (C-): Flashes of brilliance were shown by Calvert, but ultimately he did not get much time on the pitch.
2016 Outlook: I would like to see him get a shot with the Rapids in 2016, but my gut tells me he will either be loaned back to Charlotte next season or waived by Colorado.
