2015 Statistics (with Charlotte)
Games Played | Games Started | Minutes | Goals | Assists | Shots | Shots on Goal | GWG |
22 | 16 | 1315 | 2 | 4 | 25 | 10 | 0 |
Highlight of the Year: Alvarez actually had a pretty good year and grabbed two goals and four assists in all competitions. He was one that clearly benefited from his loan to Charlotte Independence where he started 16 of the 22 games he appeared in.
Lowlight of the Year: Alvarez got injured during his 31 minutes with the Rapids this season and after he healed he was loaned out to the Independence. It is tough to say whether he would have gotten more minutes if he had not gotten injured, but with the inconsistency of the Rapids Starting XI, it is tough to see where those minutes would have come from.
2015 Grade (C+): Alvarez had a good overall year with the #OneClub by making 23 overall appearances with the two goals for Charlotte.
2016 Outlook: I really want to see Alvarez get a shot with the Rapids, but I am not sure where he fits in with the club going forward. The Rapids have a number of options in the midfield, but he is a young and attacking player and is someone who should get a chance in 2016.
