REPORT: Drew Moor To Sign With Toronto FC

The end appears near for the Rapids Captain.

The crazy season in Major League Soccer is truly upon us and it looks like the Colorado Rapids are involved in another major move this off-season.

But this time it is a major player leaving the Rapids and it appears that major player is Drew Moor.

Yep, Captain Colorado has signed for Toronto FC according to sportsnet.ca.

Assuming that this report is accurate, and I have no reason to doubt it, this represents a major change in Commerce City as Moor was one of the final links to the 2010 MLS Cup Championship team.  And if you are a fan of Toronto FC, this is a significant upgrade along the back-line.

But is this a good move?  The Rapids are in full on rebuild mode and the team is clearly not on the way up in a brutal Western Conference.  And Moor was stripped of his captaincy during the 2015 season and no matter how that was handled, it seemed very strange.  And the All-Star game appearance for Moor always seemed a little like a farewell to him in Burgundy and a way for him to say goodbye to the fans.

And if you are Moor, do you want to stick around on a team that is rebuilding or a team that is on the ascendancy?

So what say you Rapids fans?  Are you bummed about Moor signing a deal in Toronto?  Let us know your thoughts.
