Highlight of the Year: Defenders are not known for their scoring prowess, but Figueroa scored a beaut of a goal in the 2-1 victory over Sporting at the end of August. It was an important goal and it showed that the outside backs of the Rapids could get forward and become involved in attack. This was something that had been missing in 2014 and 2015, so seeing Figueroa score was big.
Lowlight of the Year: Honestly, Figueroa was very solid this season and there was not a whole lot that he did wrong in his ten games. The only low-light might be that the defense was statistically worse off since Figueroa arrived, but that may not have much to do with him rather than the overall state of the team.
2015 Grade (B+): Figueroa showed his physicality and skill and pace that the Rapids were lacking for 24 games this season and he performed quite well and should be one of the better left backs in Major League Soccer as he continues to get comfortable with the league.
2016 Outlook: Figueora should be the first name on the team sheet at left back in 2016 and will be one of the veteran leaders that help the Rapids as they look to get back to the playoffs
