Lil' Help Here: Where's the Rapids Gear in Target and Walmart?

I frequent Target and Wal-Mart frequently, seeing aisles dedicated to the Broncos, Avalanche, and (somewhat) Nuggets. Where is the Rapids gear?

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Why is it that when I go to Target and Wal-Mart, I see entire aisles dedicated to sports paraphernalia of Broncos, Avalanche, and (somewhat) the Denver Nuggets, but nothing of the Colorado Rapids.  My goodness, I go to Wal-Mart and see what seems like an entire section of Orange.  Mind you, if I were in Cincinnati, I'd be loving life, given I'm a diehard Bengals fan.

Where's the Burgundy?

Now, before I go any further: no, this is not another opportunity to tee off at the front office. Contractual obligations may exist that keep them from selling in certain stores. Maybe the stores do not believe they can move any soccer product, much less Rapids gear.

I remember asking a friend of mine who runs a large sports store here in Denver.  I asked him if he could carry more Rapids gear.  He responded in a way that made it clear that they could not make money carrying more MLS gear. So, we are left with one rack of Rapids gear for youth and adult, men and women.  Not much.

I would honestly like to know the answer.  Maybe I've already answered the question, but I don't want speculation.  I want solid information.  So, if any of you are in the know, please let us know.
