The third round of the Group Stage has arrived in Denver. What should we expect on Tuesday?

Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying is in full swing and for the next two days, Dick's Sporting Goods Park will play a prominent role as the U-23 USMNT looks to continue its march towards qualification for the Rio Olympics next summer.

It has been pretty smooth sailing so far for the United States, and they have qualified for the semi-finals and the match tonight is a mere formality as it will likely have no impact on their seeding for the next round.  But for Canada, grab a victory and they will qualify for the next round.  Both Cuba and Panama have work to do to qualify for the semi-finals.

The Group A Table

Points Games Played Win Loss Draw Goal Differential
United States 6 2 2 0 0 +6
Canada 3 2 1 1 0 0
Panama 1 2 0 1 1 -2
Cuba 1 2 0 1 1 -5

How to Watch:  Canada vs Cuba

Match Date/Time: Tuesday, October 6 at 5:00 PM MDT

Venue: Dick's Sporting Goods Park--Commerce City, Colorado

TV Information: NBC Universo

Weather at Kickoff: 66 degrees with a 45% chance of rain

The Road So Far: Canada--LOSS vs United States 1-3.  WIN vs Panama 3-1.  Cuba--DRAW vs Panama 1-1.  LOSS vs United States 1-6.

The Bottom Line: Both teams will be going for the win in this one and a victory for the Canadians would mean clinching the second spot in Group A and a place in the semi-finals.  They could also clinch with a draw, but would need to wait out the Panama match.  For Cuba, they must beat Canada to have any shot of advancing.

How to Watch:  United States vs Panama

Match Date/Time: Tuesday, October 6 at 7:30 PM MDT

Venue: Dick's Sporting Goods Park--Commerce City, Colorado

TV Information: NBC Universo

Weather at Kickoff: 58 degrees with a 50% chance of rain

The Road So Far: United States--WIN vs Canada 3-1.  WIN vs Cuba 6-1.  Panama--DRAW vs Cuba 1-1.  LOSS vs Canada 1-3.

The Bottom Line: The United States has qualified for the semi-finals and would win the group with any type of result.  But for Panama, they will be watching the Canada/Cuba match with great interest.  Depending on how that one turns out, the Panamanians could need this one to qualify for the semi-finals.  Win or go home will be their motto.
