Colorado Rapids at Sporting Kansas City: How to Watch, Live Stream, TV Information and More

The Rapids end the 2015 season on a two game road trip. Do they have any shot at winning their first match since August?

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Sure, the Colorado Rapids can win at Sporting Kansas City and in turn grab their first win since August 29.

But they probably will not.  They are just not good right now and Sporting Kansas City can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Rapids.  So, no, I do not think that the Rapids will pull off a shock upset and win.

However, that is why they play the game.

The Goal for the Rapids:  Try and snap their five game losing streak

What to Watch For

1)  The RapKids: The Rapids have nothing to play for and it would be nice to see Pablo Mastroeni run out a young lineup and get some of the reserves some time.  I know you want to try and win every game and Mastroeni seems to think that veterans are the way to do that (the eight wins this season would seem to suggest his thinking is flawed).  Look, this season is completely lost:  run the kids out there and see what happens.

2)  Pablo's Last Stand: Will Pablo Mastroeni be back?  Will the Rapids hire an offensive minded assistant to help him?  Are we witnessing the end of the Pablo era in Colorado?  Everything seems to be pointing to PM coming back, but with the Rapids, no one really knows.

3)  The Spoiler: The Rapids have a legitimate shot at playing spoiler.  They take on Sporting and Portland Timbers this week and they could put a serious crimp in plans for those two teams in making the playoffs.  Now both Portland and Sporting can make the playoffs even if they lose to the Rapids, but both will want a win.  It would be great to see the Rapids take on that spoiler hat and win their final two.
