Game Recaps: Mexico 2:0 Canada

What a great day for footy!

The Rapids played.

The U-23 USMNT played.

And the USMNT plays in just a few minutes.

Well, the first two sucked as both the Colorado Rapids and the U23's crashed out today, but for Mexico, they have qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics with a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Canada.

And when you think about 2-0 victories, there are few that can be this convincing:

Mexico had 66% of the possesion

The out shot Canada 19 to 7

Mexico was able to put together 366 accurate passes to the Canadians having just 113.

Yeah, El Tri was a bit better then Canada.

So what is next?  Mexico plays Honduras on Tuesday with both teams playing with the knowledge that they have clinched their spot in Rio next summer.  For Canada, the play the United States for third place on Tuesday and a chance to take on Columbia for a spot in the Olympics next summer.
